Latest Report - 06/09/10

Cooler days are here making the Raemoir fish great sport one day and stubborn the next.

Klinkhammers and Daddy's appear to be tasty at the moment, Johnathan Petrie returning 17 on them, Hector Connell, from Inverbervie, enjoyed a session releasing 12 fish and scooping a £50 tagged fish.

Deciding to try something different, Mr Green brought 14 to the net on a Hydro Blob. Alex Shewman and his brother returned 18 collectively, Tyler Hay, from Aberdeen, clocked up 15 on a variety of flies.

Mr Iurns released 4, including a brown fingerling that has now grown to a plump 1 pound in weight over the year. Jim Cross, from Pilling, Lancashire, had a great afternoon's entertainment on a hame-made Dry fly - a J.C.C. (Jim Cross Chinook), returning a Blue fingerling to grow on.

The Jim Cross Junior Competition, open to all juniors, 16 and under and all abilities, will be held on Saturday 11th September at 9am for a 9:30 start.

Despite changeable weather one thing is certain - the water will remain wet all week, and there ARE fish in it
